History
The City of Chandler is committed to preserving, interpreting and making
history available to the community. Remembering our city’s past
while creating roots for new families and generations is critical as the
city transforms from a quiet farm town to one of the largest urban cities
in the West.
Water Conservation
Careful management of water has allowed Chandler to prosper in a desert
setting. In addition, the City offers several rebate programs, water audits,
workshops and informational materials to help its residents continue to
conserve precious water for future use.
Education & Schools
Several public school districts serve the residents of Chandler. In addition,
you can find charter schools and several institutions of higher learning.
Hospitals
Chandler Regional Hospital is a 210-bed hospital that serves the East
Valley. It is well known for the quality of its services - particularly
its Family Birth Center - and for its community outreach.
Libraries
Chandler Main Library is located in downtown Chandler, and there are now
three branch libraries serving the community, including: Basha serving
Southeast Chandler; Hamilton serving South Chandler; and Sunset serving
West Chandler.
Museums & Public Art
Chandler culture is enhanced by its museums, public and private art galleries,
and its many exhibits of publicly funded works of art.
Neighborhood Programs
Chandler works in partnership with citizens, non-profit agencies, City
departments, and others in order to benefit low and moderate-income residents
and improve and preserve the neighborhoods in which they live.

Many departments in the City of Chandler have sponsored scouting service
